Some students were investigating the speed of a toy car they built. They performed two trials and recorded their data in the table below. What was the average speed of the toy car during the two trials to the nearest tenth of a m/s?

trial 1: time(s)-4.0
distance(m)- 7.2
trial 2:time(s)- 5.0
distance(m)- 9.0

The average speed would be 1.8
The equation to find speed is S=D/T, when plugging in the numbers you would get a speed of 1.8 for both trials. (1.8+1.8)/2=1.8 hence the average speed.
