12 ft is 3 times 4 ft, so in scale it must be 3 times 1/2 in.
16 ft is 4 times 4 ft, so in scale it must be 4 times1/2 in.
3 times 1/2 in is 1.5 in.
4 times 1/2 in is 2 in.
On the blueprints her bedroom is 1.5 in by 2 in.
