then by definition of proportion;


(8)/(25) =(x)/(13)

By cross multiply we get;


13 * 8 = 25x

Simplify:


104 = 25x

Divide both sides by 25 we get;


x = (104)/(25)

Simplify:

x = 4.16

Therefore, 4.16 number of gallons of water will the faucet leak in 13 hours
