Explanation:

Job 1: 0.06x

Job 2: 0.03x + 500


0.06x > 0.03x + 500

-0.03x -0.03x

0.03x > 500

÷0.03 ÷0.03


x > (50000)/(3)

x > 16,666.67 rounded to the nearest penny
