Which is a third degree polynomial with –3 and 2 as its only zeros?

x^2 + x – 6
x^3 + 2x^2 – 5x – 6
x^3 + 4x^2 – 3x – 18
x^3 + x^2 – 8x– 12

Let's think about it for a sec. It can't be A for obvious reasons. Now let's think what makes (X+3)(X-2)? the obvious answer is B, but don't be fooled. The zeros would be 2(X-3)(X-2) which doesn't make sense. It can't be D because the zeros of that (after solving is) (x-6)(x-2) which doesnt make sense.

therefore the answer is B. you can always just graph it too.
