K.E= 1/2 mv2

=1/2 (1500)(2)2

=3000J

Use the defining equation for kinetic energy.

E = mv² / 2

E = (1500kg)(2 m/s)² / 2

E = 6000 J / 2

E = 3000 J

Therefore, the cars kinetic energy is 3000 J.
