By the Intercept form of an equation,
p = 1 (Intersection Point of line r and the x-axis), q = -2 (Intersection Point of line r and the y-axis)

$(x)/(p) \: + \: (y)/(q) \: = \: 1$

$qx \: + \: py \: = \: pq$

$( - 2)x \: + \: (1)y \: = \: ( - 2)(1)$

$- 2x \: + \: y \: = \: - 2$

$y \: = \: 2x \: - \: 2$

$y \: = \: (2)x \: + \: ( - 2)$
Where,
m = 2, b = -2.
