the way to fight your emotions in a situation is to focus on something positive and focus on something that you love or love to do. if you cant manage to do any of that its just best to let your emotions out as long as they arn't violently.

Hm. I wouldn’t necessarily fight it. It would worsen how you feel. I would let it all out. Cry if you have to. It’ll help
