Area of Flower Bed:
(b*h)/2
(3*8)/2 = 12m^2

Area of Vegetable Patch:
((b1 + b2)*h)/2
((5+7)*10)/2 = 60m^2

Area of Whole Garden:
l*w
14*10 = 140m^2

Whole Garden - Vegetable Patch - Flower Bed = Lawn
140 - 60 - 12 = 68m^2

Area of Lawn: 68m^2

Hope this helps.

Answer:

68 m^2

Explanation:

Area of The entire enclosure ( rectangle)

  • Area rectangle = L * W
  • L = 7 + 7 = 14
  • W = 10
  • Area rectangle = 10*(7 + 7)
  • Area of rectangle = 10 * 14
  • Area of rectangle = 140 square meters.

Area of the triangle

  • Area of the triangle = 1/2 b*h
  • Area of the triangle = 1/2 * 8 * 3
  • Area of the triangle= 12 square meters.

Area of the Trapezoid

  • h = 10
  • b1 = 5
  • b2 = 7

Formula

  • Area = (b1 + b2)*h /2

Solution

  • Area = (5 + 7)*10/2
  • Area = 12*10/2
  • Area = 60

Area of the Lawn

  • Area of the Lawn = rectangle area - triangle area - trapezoid area
  • Area of the lawn = 140 - 12 - 60
  • Area of the lawn = 68 m^2
