Let the Salary of Mr. O'Conell be : S

Given : Mr. O'Conell spends 15% of his Salary on Food

\mathsf{\implies 15\%\;of\;Salary(S) = ((15)/(100) * S) = 0.15 * S}

Given : Mr. O'Conell spends 24% of his Salary on Transportation

\mathsf{\implies 24\%\;of\;Salary(S) = ((24)/(100) * S) = 0.24 * S}

Given : After Spending on Food and Transportation, He saves $1830

Money Spent on Food + Money spent on Transportation + Remaining Money should be Equal to his Total Salary

\mathsf{\implies 0.15S + 0.24S + 1830 = S}

\mathsf{\implies 0.39S + 1830 = S}

\mathsf{\implies S - 0.39S = 1830}

\mathsf{\implies 0.61S = 1830}

\mathsf{\implies S = (1830)/(0.61) }

\mathsf{\implies S = 3000}

Mr. O'Conell's Salary is $3000
