Derek has a jar of marbles-half are red and half are blue. The red marbles are slightly smaller than the blue marbles. Derek assumes that because the jar contains the same number of marbles of each color, if he closes his eyes and picks a marble, he will draw a red marble 50% of the time. Is Derek correct? Why or why not?

Answer:

no he is not correct

Explanation:

because the red marbles are smaller than the blue it will be more likely to get a blue marble than a red marble even though there's the same amount.
