Answer:

In terms of days; A = 2B

So the truck is hired for 2 days for company B and 1 day for company A

In terms of miles; A = 1.25B

Truck drives 1.25 miles per day for B and 1 mile per day for A

{ \sf{total \: miles \: for \: company \: A= 1 \: mile}} \\ { \sf{total \: miles \: for \: company \: B = (2 * 1.25) = 2.5 \: miles}}

Answer = 3.5 miles
