Liver cells contain the same genes as all other body cells (all cells of the same organism possess the same genome).

So how is it that these cells express themselves differently? It is thanks to the epigenetics. These are reversible, transmissible (in cell divisions) and adaptive gene expression mechanisms without changing the nucleotide sequence (DNA).

Epigenetics has demonstrated cell differentiation: all the cells of a multicellular organism have the same genetic inheritance, but express it very differently according to the tissue to which they belong.
