Greetings!

Answer:

The ratio is 1:3

Explanation:

People can do this in different ways.

Firstly, set some variables for cydlinder A:

Diameter = 18

Height = 1

Radius = 18 ÷ 2 = 9

Area of a cylinder is
\pi r^(2) h

Plug values in:

\pi 9^(2) 1 = 81π

Cylinder B:

Diameter = 18 ÷ 3 = 6

Height = 1 * 3 = 3

Radius = 6 ÷ 2 = 3

\pi3^(2)3  = 27\pi

Cylinder b is 3 times less than cylinder a:

81π ÷ 27π = 3

So that means three lots of cylinder b is equal to one of cylinder a.

Meaning the ration is 1:3

Hope this helps!
