The Manchus, also known as Qing dynasty, ruled China since 1644 until 1912. They leaded the country to an enormous fiscal deficit because of the low taxes and low income as well which was intensifed by the big corruption the country was suffering. The opius war was a low point for this dinasty, it caused that many ports ended up in foreign hands. In the meanwhile, China’s rebels started a revolution. To calm them down the ruler at that moment modified the school system plus a new organization and system of the public workers. This is one of the main causes of the last uprising called Wuchang in 1911. Consenquently, the end of the dinasty arrived.
