Isolate y to form your equation, which is y = mx + b

3x + 5y = -15

3x + 5y -3x = -15 - 3x

5y = -15 - 3x

5y/5 = -15/5 - 3x/5

y = -3 - 3x/5

Rearrange: -3/5x -3 = y
