Tone in a Drama

In a drama, tone plays an important part in the dialogue, or linen spoken by characters, Word choice

is a huge factor in tone and can send signals to the reader about how the character is feeling and how

the lines might sound when voiced by an actor.

For each piece of dialogue below, write an adjective to dencribe its tone. Then, underline the most

important word or words that helped you determine the tone.
