The answer is A.

Codon - a sequence on RNA or DNA that correlates with an amino acid.

mRNA - other known as messenger RNA, it is single stranded that complements a DNA strand in a gene. mRNA also leaves the nucleus and goes straight to the cytoplasm (where protein is made).
