Interphase is often mistakenly referred to as a “quiet or resting” period of a cell’s life. Explain why this reference is incorrect.

During interphase they’re are 2 stages first one is Gap 1 (G1) where the cell grows the second phase is the synthesis phase (s phase) is where DNA is replicated and gap 2(G2) where the cell grows even more. This leads to mitosis/meiosis which leads to cytokinesis
