ANSWER

= $134.40

SOLUTION

Let the amount of paycheck be x

  • $10 for brother and $30 for fuel;

x - 40

  • she spent half of the remaining money on a new tent for camping with $29.45 for running shoes

(x - 40) - (1)/(2) (x - 40) - 29.45

(x - 40) - (1)/(2) (x - 40) - 29.45 = 17.75

= $134.40
