Answer:

y = 2x+4

Explanation:

We need to find the slope

m = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

= (8--6)/(2--5)

= (8+6)/(2+5)

= 14/7

=2

Now we can use the point slope form of a line

y-y1 = m(x-x1)

y--6 = 2 (x--5)

y+6 = 2(x+5)

If we want it in slope intercept form

Distribute the 2

y+6 = 2x+10

Now subtract the 6 from both side

y+6-6=2x+10-6

y = 2x+4
