This is the Postpartum period.

During the 1st 6 wks after giving birth your body begins to adjust to no longer being pregnant.

The Mother tends to be very sore for days and tired for weeks.

If delivery is by Cesarean section it may take longer than 6 weeks to feel back to yourself.

Over the first several days after childbirth you may have some pains as your uterus tends to shrink back to normal, you will have some if not quite a bit of bleeding.

There are also risks of developing postpartum depression. Which can make recovery time longer and there are very emotional moments during postpartum depression. Seek Help.

The Mother's Body has just been through a whole lot and has to get back to normal, it is quite stressful to hear a screaming child all hours of the night. Then there will be Dr's appointments for both you and the infant more often.
