Answer:

The slope is found by the change in Y over the change in x.

Using the given points:

The change in Y = -8 - 4 = -12

The change in x = 2 - -6 = 2 +6 = 8


The slope is -12/8


Both the numerator and denominator can be divided by 4

-12/4 = -3

8/4 = 2

The slope = -3/2
