Explanation:

3x+5 times 2 is 3x+10 and 4 times X = 4x

so it would then be 3x+10=4x and you treat it like a one step equation subtract the 3x from both sides and then you get 10=1x which is 10=x

Explanation:

A/b=c/d then a*d=b*c

(3x+5)*2=4x

6x+10=4x

-10 -10

6x=4x-10

-4x -4x

2x=-10

/2 /2

x=-5
