2/5X - 1/3X = 5

A) (150)

B) (75)

C) (-150)

D) (-75)

SOLUTION

(2)/(5)x - (1)/(3) x = 5

Find the GCF, 5 × 13 = 15

(6)/(15) - (5)/(15) = (1)/(15)

Multiply by 75, take note in every whole number, there is a denominator of one (1) and just simply. 15 ÷ 15 = 1 and 75 ÷ 15 = 5

(1)/(15) * 75

multiply it and you'll get the right answer.

1 * 5

= 5
