Being an athlete on a university team is an activity that requires a lot of dedication and effort, for this reason, many people believe that university athletes should be paid so that they can dedicate themselves fully to the sport and do not need to look for secondary jobs that would decrease this dedication. However, other people believe that having the opportunity to play on the university team is already the greatest privilege that these athletes are having and that paying them would not be fair to other students who also promote important activities within the university.
