Socialism is an economic system whose primary goal is to guarantee equality in the ownership of the factors of production, this means Socialism main goal is to assure everyone in a society receives equally a share of the production according to how much they contribute to it. Additionally, this ownership is usually not considered as individual, but as a collective ownership, thus socialism avoids individual accumulation of capital and promotes cooperation.
