1. If you put an expression like these into a graphic calculator, you only get straight lines right? So how do you know the answer? Well whichever of these lines crosses the point given, which would be (-1,-4), would be the correct answer. The only one that crosses is 7x+3=x-3, as seen in the attached graph, making this the correct answer.

2. To find the answer to these we need to use graphing software. Desmos is the site I use but feel free to use another or even a graphing calculator.

Just insert the equations separately into desmos and it will graph it out for you. The point where the two lines meet will be the solution to the system. I've attached a graph to give you the visual representation. As you can see, the points cross at (3,-1) making that the correct answer.

3. So as done with the previous one, we use our graphing tool to create a graph of this equation. Then you match up which one goes where.

Once again, the graph is attached for you to see. All the points are shown so all you have to do is match them up to the points that are in the answer choices

4. If you inserted those equations into your graphing software, you would see that they are the exact same line. Since they are the same line, that makes any solution you put will be correct.

5. This one is easier than it looks. To do this, you can just list out the values for each month for Bill and Mandy until you get the same thing on the same month. Start from 18 since the 16 is the month before and count by twos for Mandy. For Bill start from 4 and count by 4's. You should be 8 in before you get a match, 32 in December.
