Look at the picture.

The equation:

10x - 15 = 6x + 9 add 15 to both sides

10x = 6x + 24 subtract 6x from both sides

4x = 24 divide both sides by 4

x = 6

Answer:

x=6

Explanation:

If ABCD is a parallelogram, then AB = CD

AB=CD

10x-15 = 6x+9

Subtract 6x from each side

10x-6x -15 = 6x-6x+9

4x-15 = 9

Add 15 to each side

4x-15+15 = 9+15

4x = 24

Divide by 4 on each side

4x/4 =24/4

x=6
