A special paint requires a mixture of paints: A, B and C. The ratio is: 60% A, 25% B, and 15% C. If you want 20 gallons of the special color, how many gallons of paint A will you need?

You would need 12 gallons of paint A. You can find this answer by finding what 60% of 20 is, and do that by multiplying 20 • (0.6). This is what gives you 12. Following that, you’ll need 3 gallons of C, and 5 gallons of B.
