ANSWER:

14% increase.

The percent of change in the amount of miles Kellie ran last week and this week, rounded to the nearest whole number, is a 14% increase.

Explanation:

Let % of change in Kellie's running distances from last weeks's 28 miles to this week's 32 miles = x

x = [ ( New amount - Original amount ) / Original amount ] × 100%

New amount = 32 miles

Original amount = 28 miles

THEREFORE:

x = [ ( 32 - 28 ) / 28 ] × 100%

x = ( 4 / 28 ) × 100%

x = ( 1 / 7 ) × 100%

x = 0.1428571429... × 100%

x = 14% ( rounded to the nearest whole number )
