Find an equivalent ratio for the ratio 4 : 5.

If you multiply by 100 you will get the first answer, 400/500. Remember that in order for a ratio to be equivalent you should be able to multiply or divide (NOT add or subtract) by the same number to both numbers.

48 to 60

Multiply top and bottom by 100

4*100/ 5* 100 =400/500

400:500

Multiply top and bottom by 12

4/5 * 12/12 = 48/60

we can rewrite as 48:60
