Argentina’s dirty war is a name used to call the proces in which the militaries took by force the goverment leaving out of the picture the democracy. It took place from 1976 and 1983. The dictatorship by the militaries was a campaign against people who did not share the same thoughts as them. It was installed what is called state terrorism, in which the militaries persecuted and kidnapped their opponents, usually broke into their houses in the middle of the night, and locked them in clandestine camps settled in all the country. Those people are known as "the disappeared" because no one knew where they took them. As a social outcome, there where more than 30000 disappeared including kidnapped, murdered people, most of them suffered systematic torture. The mothers of the victims after the process started an organization to find their children and after their grandsons who also where took as a hostage when their parents where captured. Nowadays this organization is still functioning.
