Explanation:

x³ - 3x² + 16x - 48 = 0

→ x²(x - 3) + 16(x - 3) = 0

→ (x² + 16) (x - 3) = 0

→ (x² - (-16)) (x - 3) = 0

→ (x - 4i)(x + 4i)(x - 3) = 0

→ x - 4i = 0 x + 4i = 0 x - 3 = 0

→ x = 4i x = -4i x = 3

2 imaginary roots and 1 real root
