Slope-intercept form:

y = mx + b

"m" is the slope, "b" is the y-intercept (the y value when x = 0 or (0,y))

You know m = -3, so you can plug it into the equation

y = mx + b

y = -3x + b

To find "b", plug in the point (4,-2) into the equation

y = -3x + b

-2 = -3(4) + b

-2 = -12 + b Add 12 on both sides

10 = b

y = -3x + 10 Your answer is B
