Put the values of x = 4 and y = -2 to the expression 5y² + 3xy - 2x.

Use PEMDAS:

P Parentheses first

E Exponents (ie Powers and Square Roots, etc.)

MD Multiplication and Division (left-to-right)

AS Addition and Subtraction (left-to-right).

5(-2)^2+3(4)(-2)-2(4)=5(4)-24-8=20-24-8=-12
