If you can buy 1⁄3 of a pound of turkey for 4 dollars, how much can you purchase for 10 dollars? Write your answer as a fraction of a pound.

Explanation:

since 1/3 of a pond is $4 than 2/3 pond would be $8. Then you have half of a third of a pound left that you can buy with $10. So you multiply 1/2 by 1/3 to get 1/6. Then you just add 1/6 and 2/3 to get 5/6.
