Please help! Urgent! Need answers ASAP!

Which tools do meteorologists use to collect data about the weather? Check all that apply. ( I chose A,C and D but my teacher said I was wrong)

-satellites
-weather fronts
-maps and charts
-weather balloons
-automated weather stations
2) What information does the National Weather Service produce? Check all that apply.
( I chose B,C,D and E but I got it wrong)
simple maps
newspaper maps
maps with isobars
maps with isotherms
weather service maps
3) What role does the Automated Surface Observing Systems (ASOS) play in weather forecasting?

It is a fleet of weather balloons.
It is a system of radar sensors used to track storms. (this option is wrong)
It is the nation's primary weather-observing network.
It provides weather reports much like the National Weather Service.

1. The following are used to collect weather data by meteorologists

  • Satellites – they use electromagnetic spectrum to determine weather elements and formation of storms
  • weather balloons – they are fitted with equipment such as barometer, hygrometers, and thermometers
  • automated weather stations – these are smart weather stations that have weather equipment send real-time data to center meteorological departments

2. National Weather Service produces;

  • maps with isobars – connect are of the same pressure
  • maps with isotherms – connects areas of same temperatures
  • weather service maps – interactive maps that have detailed weather parameters that can be looked up based on location

3. The answer is; It is the nation's primary weather-observing network.

ASOS is a program that amalgamates the Department of Defense (DOD), National Weather Service (NWS), and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) that work in synergy to support many other departments other than the meteorological. Other benefiting departments are climatology, hydrology, and aviation industries.
