How long would it take for a rock falling 97.2 m/s to reach the ground from 100 meters

Answer;

velocity(v) = 97.2 m/s ,

distance (S) = 100 m

determine time(t) = ?

We know that,

distance (S) = velocity(v) × time(t)

So, time (t) = distance ÷ velocity

= 100 ÷ 97.2

t = 1.02 sec.
