In Great Expectations, Charles Dickens includes many details to describe how Ms. Havisham's house was deprived from emotion and human warmth, going as far as to say that they cold wind felt even colder there. Not only Ms. Havisham was snobby, Estella was downright rude throughout her entire interaction with Pip, which even made him cry while he was eating his lunch after their game of cards.

Because of this, the best answer would be option D.
