( (16)/(2) )^{ (1)/(2) } = 2 {}^(x)
And if we know

16 / 2 = 8
So that means

{8}^{ (1)/(2) } = {2}^(x)
We also know that

2 * 2 * 2 = 8
Which is equivalent to

{2}^(3) = 8
So if we rewrite the equation with this...

2 {}^{3 * (1)/(2) } = {2}^(x)
So that means

3 * (1)/(2) = x

x = (3)/(2)
And we get to the end result that

( (16)/(2) ) {}^{ (1)/(2) } = 2 {}^{ (3)/(2) }
