Answer:

y = 1/4x-1

Explanation:

The slope intercept form of a line is

y = mx+b

m is the slope and b is the y intercept

but we do not know the slope y know the x intercept

(4,0 )

and the y intercept

( 0,-1)

We can calculate the slope using these points

m = (y2-y1)/ (x2-x1)

= (-1-0)/(0-4)

= -1/-4

= 1/4

Now we can put the slope = 1/4 and the y intercept =-1 into the formula

y = 1/4x-1
