The perimeter of a rectangle is 40cm. The length is 5 less than double the width. What is the width?

Round and write your answer to the tenths place value. Do not include units

Explanation:

2(l+w) = 40

l+w = 20

l = 2w-5

2w-5+w = 20

3w = 25

w = 25/3 = 8.3
