y=6x+4 is linear but not proportional because it doesn't have any exponents causing it to be Linear ....it is not proportional because it is not in y=mx form

y=8x is linear and proportional because it is in y=mx form and doesn't have any exponents

y=x-3 is linear and not proportional because it is not in y=mx form it is not proportional ..... it is linear because it has no exponents

y=9x^2+1 is not linear and is not proportional....it is not linear because it has an exponent and not proportional because it is not in y=mx form
