Jane feels energetic and rearranges her furniture at two o'clock in the morning. She runs up and down the stairs, and her mind races with random thoughts. If Jane is diagnosed with bipolar disorder, predict what will happen after she experiences this mania.

Jane will experience long term euphoria.
Jane will experience long term insomnia.
Jane will crash into a state of exhaustion.
Jane will crash into a low depression.

I believe the best answer would be that she will crash into a low depression, because the description lists her experiencing euphoria which can often end up being the exact opposite afterwards with bipolar disorder.

Answer:

Jane will crash into a low depression.

Step-by-step explanation:

Bipolar affective disorder is a complex psychiatric disorder. Its most striking feature is the sometimes sudden alternation of episodes of euphoria with those of depression and asymptomatic periods between them. Seizures may vary in intensity (mild, moderate and severe), frequency and duration. Mood fluctuations have negative reflections on patients' behavior and attitudes, and their reaction is always disproportionate to, or even independent of, triggering facts.

As we can see from the question above, Jane has bipolar disorder and is in a moment of euphoria. At this point, patients with this disorder are very energetic and exhibit unusual behavior, such as arranging furniture at 2 am. However, as is typical of the disease, this moment will be followed with a moment of depression.
