<g = <j

x+44 = 3x

Subtract x from each side

x+44-x = 3x-x

44= 2x

Divide each side by 2

44/2 = 2x/2

22= x

The three angles of a triangle add to 180 degrees

<G + <J + <H = 180

x+44 + 3x + y = 180

22+44 +66 + y = 180

Combine like terms

132+ y =180

Subtract 132 from each side

132-132+y = 180-132

y = 48
