"Why did I wait until the last minute again?" I mumbled to myself, knowing I had no one else to blame. Luckily, I picked an interesting project. I experimented to see how the shape of an ice cube affects how quickly it melts. Once I began, it was actually kind of cool-ha!ha! I smiled to myself at my cleverness. Because it was the night before the science fair, I worked as fast as I could, but didn't finish everything. In the morning, as I turned in my project, I felt embarrassed at my rushed job. Which sentence provides the BEST conclusion for this narrative paragraph? A) I hate science and never win anything because I am not lucky. B) Next year I will start earlier and who knows, I might even win! C) It was exciting to see the excellent projects on seed germination. D) If this was a poetry writing contest, I would have come in first place.
