People tend to have our different principles and interest which eventually led to the difference in opinions.
In order to end polarization, the first thing we need to do is being aware of that difference and do not have an unrealistic expectation about humans. There's no way we can make all people in societies think the same thing/held the same opinion.
After developing this awareness, we need to communicate with the groups with differing opinion and try to find a middle ground where both groups get some of the things they want and while sacrificing the other wants at the same time. This is what we called a compromise.
