Hi there! :)

Answer:

x = 38

Explanation:

5(x - 6) = 4x + 8

Distribute the "5" to the entire parentheses → 5 × x = 5x & 5 × -6 = -30

5x - 30 = 4x + 8

Add "30" to each side of the equation → 8 + 30 = 38

5x = 4x + 38

Subtract "4x" from each side of the equation → 5x - 4x = 1x = x

x = 38

There you go! I really hope this helped, if there's anything just let me know! :)

Answer:

x = 38

Explanation:

distribute the parenthesis on the left side of the equation by 5

5x - 30 = 4x + 8 ( subtract 4x from both sides )

x - 30 = 8 ( add 30 to both sides )

x = 38
