4 people shared one third (1/3)of a cake
then mathematcally it is 1/3 divided by 4
solution
1/3 ÷ 4/1
we'll put the 4 upside down or turn it around
1/3 × 1/4
(1×1) ÷ (3×4)
1/12 or 0.0833333333
